Piano Accompanist

Why have an Accompanist?

There are so many beautiful solo instruments ranging from woodwind, strings, brass, and even percussion. However the very nature of solo instruments can lead musicians down a lonely pathway.

The fabulous aspect of accompaniment, is that there is a greater connection with the music being played, as well as a vitality and liveliness that could not otherwise be achieved.

Whether you are looking for exam accompaniment, or you would simply like to have piano accompaniment as a means to learning a particular piece, I can provide the solution you are looking for.

What kind of Instruments can be Accompanied?

The short answer is 'every type of instrument'. I currently accompany oboists, clarinetists, guitarists and cellists, as well as vocalists.

What styles of Music can you provide Accompaniment for?

Any style. I currently provide piano accompaniment for pieces originating from the Mediaeval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionist, and Contemporary periods, including modern pop and jazz.

What other benefits can you offer a Soloist?

In addition to accompaniment, I also provide music mentoring, advice, tips, ideas, and direction. I also have a digital sound system, which I use to amplify and enhance the sound of each solo instrument, to recreate the sound of a concert hall environment.

Furthermore, I conduct several concerts each year, which gives soloists the opportunity to perform in front of an audience.

All accompaniment is provided using a fully tuned and voiced Kawai Grand Piano.
